Richard N. Sayer

Peter Brent Regan

As chair of the Litigation Department, Peter maintains an active and diverse civil trial practice, representing clients across the country in cases involving commercial litigation, personal injury and admiralty. In 1986, Peter became Rhode Island�s youngest judge when he was appointed to the Probate Court. A former prosecutor, he has taught at the Rhode Island State Police Academy and has written and lectured on numerous trial issues.

Mark M. Thayer

Mark Thayer, Real Estate Department chair, has been representing buyers and sellers of real estate for over 20 years. Mark focuses his practice on residential real estate and representing condominium associations. A frequent lecturer on real estate, condominium, timeshare and landlord/tenant law, Mark regularly advises clients on the complex issues involved in buying, selling, leasing and financing real estate.

Francis J. Flanagan

A former Navy JAG, Frank honed his trial skills in over 300 court martials involving charges ranging from murder to espionage, and punishments including the death penalty. In his civilian practice, Frank aggressively advocates on behalf of clients in Immigration proceedings, divorce and criminal defense cases. Frank�s practice also includes a record of success in business immigration and employment law issues.

Michael J. Robinson

Michael brings a wealth of experience to the Firm�s Litigation Department, having acted as lead counsel in over 200 trials and hearings. Michael's practice focuses on problem resolution and trial work in all areas of commercial and civil litigation, criminal law, personal injury and family law. Michael graduated from Providence College in 1994, cum laude, and Roger Williams University School of Law in 1997. He developed his litigation skills during five years as a trial attorney with the Rhode Island Public Defender's Office, before joining the Firm in 2003. He is a member of the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Bar Associations.

M. Elizabeth Stachura

Beth�s practice focuses on employment and labor law and the representation of private and public schools. She represents employers and employees on a wide range of issues, including workplace discrimination and disability compliance, sexual harassment, family and medical leave policies, employment contracts and handbooks and wage and hour law compliance. Beth is an accomplished civil litigator with experience in state and federal courts, and administrative agencies and is skilled at mediation and arbitration. Beth received her Masters in Labor Relations and Human Resources from the University of Rhode Island in the Spring of 2005. She is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Ann F. Johnson

Ann is a member of the Rhode Island and Massachusetts bars and concentrates her practice in business law and securities, civil litigation and zoning. In the business arena, Ann advises clients, including those in the technology industry, on start-ups, organizing new ventures and obtaining capital financing.
